LIT (wiiware)

Hello, its Jesse. I have recently just downloaded one of my new favorite wiiware games, LIT. The game is directed by Adam Tierney, creative director Matt Bozon, and co-designed by Tierney and IGN editor Mark Bozon. The game spans over 30 levels and 5 bosses along with an unlockable “Dark Mode”. You have to go around different rooms in your school, turning lights on to make paths through  darkness. But there’s a catch. If you go into the darkness at all, you get grabbed by hands and pulled into the darkness where you die.

This game is a real battle between good and evil. The only part of this game that i dont like, is your annoying girlfriend in the game. She is stuck in part of the school and you have to go find her to save her. It’s basically the only plot in the game. And in just about every room you enter, there is a phone where she calls you. You can then hold up your wii mote to listen to what she has to say threw the speakers.

This game is 800 points ($8.00), and a pretty good by. Im really surprised its not selling for at least 1000. Id give this game 8.5 out of 10. It was published and developed by Wayforward Technologies. If you have the time i would really go out and get it.

Dsi Flash?

Okay. For all of you out there that have a Dsi, you probably know that the Opera web browser doesn’t support Flash. There are some games and other things that work for the browser (see dsicade), but not Youtube or anything that requires Flash.

There is a new program that was developed called dsitube that lets you watch videos on your Dsi, but you have to download it on to an sd card and then put it on your Dsi. It’s basically just a homebrew software, and homebrew software voids your warranty.

Will the Dsi ever support Flash? Only Miyamoto knows.Shiggy!

What Are You Looking Foward To?

At E3 2009, game companies announced many new games and features, but I was wondering…..What do people want the most?

I am really interested in the new Zelda game that was kind of announced. At a round table meeting afterward, Miyamoto told all the game gurus that came to visit about the new game (pretty much just showed the box art). He also pointed out the fact that Link isn’t holding a sword, which makes me believe that the new character(see Jesse’s post) is, in fact, the master sword.

I am also interested in project Natal. It looks like it would be great (pricey), but I have a feeling that it might never even be released. It just seems too far-fetched for me.

But that’s just me. What do you think?  Project Natal

Sony Says PSP Go! Price is Reasonable

In case you didn’t know already the current price tag for the Go! is set at $249 n the U.S. (as much as a Wii and more than a 360 Arcade) and €229 (around $350). While half the world says the price is too much, Sony execs say the system isn’t overpriced and that the European market isn’t as price driven.

Looking around the internet in every comments section about the PSP Go! i see European gamers saying how ridiculous it is that it costs so much. Sony is acting like if they don’t listen people will go away and things will be fine, but there’s no hiding that they’re in 3rd place of the console market. Sony really needs to listen to consumers if they expect their sales to be at least average.

Project Natal for The Wii?

Ubisoft announced a game for the Wii that uses a camera very similar to the one used in Project Natal. It recognizes body movements just like Natal, but will be out and in stores before Natal, just in time for this years Holiday. The first  game that will use this device is called “Your Shape”, also coming out this holiday session. It recognized body movements to help you lose wait, so no more faking push ups, or not doing exercises correctly like in Wii Fit :D (I never did that *cough* *cough*)

Warm and Tingle-ey

In the new issue of Japan’s Famitsu magazine, a single page with a tiny sprite of tingle from The Legend of  Zelda: Majora’s Mask. Tingle has been the main character in two Japan only DS games (Freshly Picked Tingle’s Rose Colored Rupee Land and Tingle’s Balloon Fight DS). The page had a red background with the word “fairy?” in Japanese and a URL.

Could mean a new Tingle game, and hopefully stateside too. As a Zelda fan I was dissapointed to find that the first Tingle game was JP only. Only time will tell, but considering how Nintendo has acted with the Mother series, we wont be seeing any Tingle games in the US soon.
