New Pokemon Games Confirmed for DS

Though it’s not even been half a year since the last Pokemon game’s release, word has spread that a new set of games is coing for the DS. The new titles, Heart Gold and Soul Silver, are remakes of the Gameboy Color Gold and Silver games. From the looks of it your first pokemon follows you around like Pikachu did in Yellow edition. Japan will be seeing a 2009 release, and a worldwide one in 2010. The games will also be bundled with a pedometer/Poket Pikachu type device. No word on a Crystal remake, but you know it’s on the way.

I’m kind of excited about this. Hopefully there wont be as many (somewhat) drastic changes as there were in Firered and Leafgreen. Pokemon Gold was the First game that solely belonged to me, so i kind of have a connection with these games. think i may just wait for the crystal game.

As you can see it’s a little thicker to accomodate the pedometer.
